Okeechobeings! The portal is SO CLOSE to opening & we are getting very excited to welcome you back to Sunshine Grove! The information below highlights many things that are important to know before arriving at Okeechobee Fest. Please read through everything thoroughly, and also download the mobile app, and use GPS to navigate the site. DOWNLOAD THE MOBILE APP HERE and get ready for 4 of the best days of your entire life! It’s all happening….
FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE FESTIVAL, HERE ARE A FEW MAPS THAT CAN HELP YOU.
Festival gates open at 12pm on Thursday, March 2nd for 4 day pass holders. If you arrive after hours, it’s cool. Our gates will be open 24 hours for the duration of the festival. Festival gates open at 10am on Friday, March 3rd for 3 day pass holders. If you would like to upgrade your 3 day pass to a 4 day pass, this can be done for $20 AT EITHER WILL CALL LOCATION (listed below). Do not try to do this at the gate. It will hold up the lines & waste your time!
Upon arrival, you will be directed into a portal entrance. You will not be able to choose which entrance you go into. Please follow all traffic laws as well as any direction received from Okeechobee staff.
*We highly recommend arriving with a FULL TANK OF GAS in your car. You’ll likely want to use your car throughout the weekend to play music, run AC or charge your phone & this uses gas. Come prepared!
You MUST have your wristband to enter the festival. If your wristband has been lost / stolen / tampered with / pulled too tight / dog ate it / ordered after the ship deadline or if you are on a guest list, you MUST visit WILL CALL with a photo ID BEFORE COMING TO THE FESTIVAL GATES!
We have two will call locations. Hours & location are below:
- Coming from the South: 7595 Northeast 128th Ave, Okeechobee, FL 34972
- Coming from the North: 441 NE 160th ST, Okeechobee, FL 34972
Box Office Hours of Operation:

- Thursday, March 2: 7:00am – Midnight
- Friday, March 3: 7:00am – Midnight

Okeechobee Music & Art’s Festival is an ALL AGES event! However if you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older to be able to camp at Sunshine Grove.
VEHICLE INS AND OUTS
If you plan to leave and come back with your vehicle anytime during the festival, you must park in the Park n Portal lot located by Portal 4. This parking lot is for day parking as well as anyone who would like to park and camp in “no car camping” amongst the trees. If you park at your campsite & decide to leave with your vehicle, this is allowed, but there will be ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNING WITH YOUR VEHICLE TO YOUR CAMPSITE. If you leave with your vehicle from your campsite at any time, for any reason, you will need to park in the Park n Portal lot by Portal 4 when you return and walk back to wherever you’d like to go. This is for the safety of all campers & people in Sunshine Grove and it is not negotiable for any reason.
Average highs are 81-83
Average lows are 54-69
The days will likely be hot & sunny while the nights can get quite cold! Come prepared with all sorts of clothing to satisfy a variety of temps! The weather forecast is looking great, but as with any outdoor event, you should always come prepared for extremes. Rain is always a possibility & it’s better to be over prepared than under prepared.
The Grove will open 1 hour before the first artist each day, and close 1 hour after the last artist each night.
Moonlight Oasis is open 24 hours a day!
Camping spaces will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. There is no way to guarantee a certain campsite and no way to “have a better chance of ending up in xx by entering through xx” so save your questions & you’ll be assigned both a portal to enter and a campsite when you arrive! There is no group camping at OMF17 this year, if you want to camp together you MUST ARRIVE TOGETHER. Each car will be assigned a 20×20 space on arrival & there is no SAVING SPACES for cars. If you have enough room and would like to save a space for tent for a friend coming later, they can park in the Park n Portal Lot and walk to meet you at your campsite. They will NOT be able to drive to it under any circumstances. Again- if you seek to camp together, you must arrive together!
If you are brining a vehicle onsite that does not fit in a 20×20 space with your tent, you MUST have an RV Pass to park it in RV Parking. There will be absolutely no RVs allowed onsite without RV parking passes (1 RV parking pass needed per RV). If you are planning to drive a car with your RV, you must have an RV + Companion Vehicle Parking Pass. If you have GA wristbands, you must have a GA RV pass. If you have VIP Wristbands, you must have a VIP RV pass. Everyone in the RV must have a festival wristband to enter!
RV Camping Passes for 2017 are SOLD OUT. If you do not have a pass already, you will not be able to bring your RV onsite.
There are water refill stations available at no cost scattered throughout the campsite as well as inside The Grove. Check your map and onsite signage to find the nearest water station. Four days and nights of music, fun and dancing can take it’s toll on the body, especially in warm weather. Please make sure you, and all of your friends, stay hydrated throughout the festival. Your body will require more water than usual during the event. We encourage you to use the water available for free at our various Water Refill Stations onsite. You may bring an EMPTY reusable water container, or a camelback into The Grove, and refill it inside the venue.
There is no power at the GA campgrounds & there are not charging stations at the GA campgrounds. There IS a charging booth just outside the left side entrance to The Grove. Look for the CHARGER SYMBOL on the MAP.
There will be portable chargers sold for $20 that can be re-charged back at the booth anytime! They have 2 chargers upon purchase and if you run out, you can re-charge them at the booth –

SECURITY & MEDICAL

The Medical tent is a safe haven, and what you tell the medical staff will be held in confidence. Be honest about your condition so you can get the best treatment for your illness. The Medical Tents are mini-hospitals and can accommodate your needs. Exact location of the medical tents can be found with the red Medical Sign on the site maps
Security Staff will be onsite 24 hours a day to ensure the safety of all attendees. Please be kind and courteous to each other as well as all staff members.
